Kantigi Camara
Board Member
Kantigi Camara joined the GrowHope Foundation in 2013 and is presently a member of the Board of Directors. He is a double retiree; Branch Manager of the Boston Public Library and Northeastern University. Mr. Camara’s affiliations include: Massachusetts Black Librarian Network; Readiness in Action, Harvard School of Public Health, Massachusetts Chapter of the Livingstone College Alumni Association, and New England Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen.
Patricia A. Nunn
Board Member
Patricia A. Nunn, RN, BSN, has been an active board member of GrowHope Foundation for over six years. Although retired, she remains active in her field as an Adjunct Faculty Member of Roxbury Community College teaching clinical nursing. Ms. Nunn’s membership affiliations include: New England Regional Black Nurses Association Inc., National Black Nurse Association, Massachusetts Nurses Association, and Dorchester People for Peace.
Lois C. Brown
Board Member
Lois C. Brown is a Board Member of GrowHope Foundation, serving on the Steering Committee and Advisory Council. She has been actively involved as a volunteer at a Head Start Center in Brockton, Massachusetts. Lois has been a registered nurse since 1974 and has held several positions requiring participation in committees setting management and policy making standards. Ms. Brown has been selected as an Honoree at the 2016 GrowHope Foundation’s Annual Fundraiser on October 22, 2016.
Velecia J. Prall-Major
Board Member
Velecia J. Prall-Major has been a Board Member of the GrowHope Foundation since 2013. She is a Registered Nurse and has worked for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for the past 16 years. Her commitment to serve and give back to the community is evidence in her volunteer work with the Liberian Medical Organization. Ms. Prall-Major has taken mission trips to Liberia for the past 10 years to provide free medical services to medical institutions. In addition, she is a founding member of The University of Liberia Alumni Chorus and currently serving as the Financial Secretary.
Regina Maxime
Board Member
Regina Maxime became associated with the GrowHope Foundation in 2014 and a Board Member in 2016. She has worked in the Human Service field since 1996 and is certified in Early Education with a concentration in working with at-risk children. Ms. Maxime is currently employed as Assistant Director at BAMSI. She has served as a volunteer for the Caribbean American Carnival Association and C.O.P.E Center, and also mentored/tutored at-risk adolescents.
